Copyright Notice

Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI is committed to protecting authors' intellectual property rights while supporting open access, responsible knowledge sharing, and the dissemination of scientific research in informatics, information technology, information systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence, computer networks, and related disciplines.

Authors retain the copyright to their original scholarly works published in Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI. By submitting a manuscript and upon its acceptance for publication, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and permission to publish, reproduce, distribute, and preserve the article as part of the journal's scholarly publishing activities.

Copyright ownership is not transferred to the journal. Authors remain the copyright holders of their published works, and Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI will appropriately acknowledge their ownership.

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain full copyright ownership of their original manuscripts and published articles.

Upon acceptance and publication, authors grant Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI the right of first publication and the non-exclusive rights necessary to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and preserve their articles through the journal's official website and associated scholarly information services.

No transfer of copyright ownership to Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI is required under this policy. The journal will identify and acknowledge authors as the copyright holders of their published works.

2. Authors' Rights

Authors retain the right to:

Reuse their published articles for teaching, research, academic presentations, and other lawful scholarly purposes.
Share their published articles through personal websites, institutional repositories, and academic platforms.
Deposit preprints, accepted manuscripts, and published versions in appropriate repositories, subject to the journal's applicable self-archiving policy and any relevant third-party rights.
Incorporate their published work into subsequent scholarly publications, books, dissertations, and other academic materials, with appropriate acknowledgment of the original publication.
Enter into separate, non-exclusive distribution agreements for their published articles, provided that the initial publication in Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI is properly acknowledged and the agreements do not conflict with the applicable license or existing rights and obligations.

Authors are encouraged to disseminate their research responsibly to increase its visibility, accessibility, and scientific impact.

3. Right of First Publication

By publishing an article in Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI, authors grant the journal the right of first publication.

This right authorizes Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI to publish the final accepted version of the article, make it publicly accessible through its official website, distribute it through appropriate scholarly information services, and preserve it in the journal's digital archives.

The right of first publication does not constitute a transfer of copyright ownership from the authors to the journal.

4. Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts are original and that the publication and distribution of their work do not unlawfully infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

Authors must ensure that:

All sources, quotations, figures, tables, code snippets, software components, datasets, and other reused materials are properly acknowledged where applicable.
Necessary permissions have been obtained for third-party copyrighted materials where required.
All co-authors have approved the manuscript submission and agree to the applicable publication and licensing terms.
The manuscript complies with Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI's publication ethics and copyright policies.
Any applicable third-party licenses governing software, datasets, images, or other materials incorporated into the article are respected.

Third-party materials included in an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions. Such conditions must be respected and clearly indicated where applicable.

5. Copyright Infringement and Disputes

Concerns or allegations regarding copyright infringement, unauthorized reproduction, plagiarism, or misuse of published materials may be reported to the Editorial Board of Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI.

The journal will assess reported concerns fairly and objectively, in accordance with applicable copyright laws, publication ethics standards, and editorial policies.

Where necessary, the journal may request clarification or supporting documentation and take appropriate editorial action in accordance with its publication ethics and corrections and retractions policies.

6. Copyright Declaration

By submitting and publishing an article in Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI, authors acknowledge and agree to the following declaration:

"I/We retain the copyright to this article and grant Jurnal Informatika STMIK DCI the right of first publication.

I/We acknowledge that the published article will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), subject to the terms of that license.

I/We confirm that the submitted work is original, that all necessary permissions for third-party materials have been obtained where required, and that all co-authors have approved the manuscript and the applicable publication terms."

The following notice may be displayed on individual article pages and in published PDF files:
